The plan for the day, not that it was exactly a plan, was to maybe go to the jewelry and gem show in Marlborough and/or visit Western Ave Studios in Lowell for the weekend open studios and/or Mill No. 5 for the marketplace event.
Little metal arms flipped flat. |
The not exactly a plan later evolved to going to Aldi in Nashua. On the way, I realized that
Goodwill was five seconds down the street beyond the turn to Nashua, and the
car magically autopiloted to the Hudson Goodwill. The store is a decent size
and generally neat and organized, so it’s much nicer to explore than some other
shops. And it has fitting rooms, which many shops never brought back after the
pandemic thing.
Arms flipped out and t's up for now. |
My best guess for the original
use was a tie rack. I plan to use it to organize the dance costume jewelry currently stashed pretty much everywhere.
The tool bag was rifled
through in search of two long nails or screws to attach it to the designated closet
area. The few screws long enough to pass through the half-inch depth of the wood and metal and make
it into the wall were too thick to pass through the holes. The next option was to
enlist the “hook and loop fastener” strips bought for I don’t remember what.
The only concern is that once loaded with trinkets, it might be too heavy. I
guess I’ll know when it all crashes to the floor.
As for Aldi, that leg of the journey was abandoned in favor of Market Basket across the street from Goodwill. The basic weekly produce items and my new favorite jalapeno and cherry dip/spread were gathered. It was all pretty good for winging it.
