Today had the pulse pounding excitement that comes from suddenly juggling ten things, a couple of which sprouted from nowhere and all of which were suddenly urgent-ish. Basically, it was like a regular day on too much caffeine. Or maybe it was adrenaline. The list for the week went from, “oh, not bad,” to “oh crap, there may not be enough days in this week.” It all made the day fly by.
In retrospect, it was probably stress and not excitement. The
racing pulse and shortness of breath are sometimes easy to confuse.
Ramen with stuff. |
The lunch of leftover Chicken Quinoa Bowl was a boost and a needed break from thinking. The wonders
of modern technology make lunch an autopilot snap. Of course, everyone with access to a microwave oven knows that. Popping a bowl of food into the microwave and eating the food
literally two minutes later is quite possibly my favorite modern marvel scientific
accomplishment.
Coming out of the workday with a fried brain meant an autopilot supper was also in order. Ramen made with half-and-half, queso, Korean hot pepper paste, and the extra special touch of green beans picked out of the mixed frozen vegetables and segregated in a separate container so as to not taint Winston's food bowl. It beats seeing them strewn all over the floor after being brutally rejected from the Canine Overlord dining vessel.
