October has arrived with some of the summer weather we were denied for much of the summer. Just in time for sweater and roasted vegetable season, we are having temperatures in the mid- to high 70s and 80s. New England weather you are so … what’s the word? Playful? Bi-polar? Confused? Pain in the butt? Whatever we call it, it will be super fun. Another adventure.
We had a studio dress rehearsal for our gig next weekend at
the Townsend Haunted Trail, and thank goodness. Today I learned that the tie-on
overskirt that arrived on Thursday is a smidge
too long and I kept stepping on it. Solutions to the situation include wearing shoes
with either a thick sole or a heel, cut off a layer of the netting, or figure
out a way to shorten it from the waist.
Other than stepping on my costume a thousand times, dress
rehearsal was pretty good, and the variety of our costumes is really cool. Next weekend should
be fun, and we’re hoping for dry weather. Please, crazy, variable New England
weather be nice for us on Saturday.
Tonight, it’s back to the binge marathon of Friends. I still find the show to be funny and I still can’t stand Ross. There is something about the character and the one-trick actor that just bugs the heck out of me. He’s enough to haunt a house. Maybe he should be with “The Dancing Ghouls” at the Haunted Trail next weekend.
