Winter window wear. |
The plus side to the long winter drapes is the fabric blocks some of the chill that creeps in from the outer walls. The downside is they make the room darker, which can feel cozy at night, but a bit gloomy in the daytime.
The chore had been thought about since around October. It
required washing the drapes, which came down last spring and had been waiting
in the laundry basket ever since. Spending the summer in the laundry basket was a solution that
avoided finding a place to put the drapes after they were cleaned. The summer
curtains will probably live in that same basket until May or June.
The next chapter of domestic thrills to be addressed is the matter of trading out the teal themed couch cover and
coordinated pillows for the winter tan and red color scheme. Maybe tomorrow. I hate to use
up all the fun and excitement in one day.
