| Tire be sad no more. |
It was a much better than usual day. It began with waking up
confused because it was light out and I thought I had slept really late, but
that was just the effect of the semi-annual time change. The new tire inflator thing was pressed into service and the tires were revived with air. In a weird twist, after the inflator claimed the tires were at the recommended 35 psi, the dashboard claimed the passenger side was only at 33psi. What is up with that? As least I will now have the luxury of dealing with low tire pressure immediately in the comfort of my own driveway.
Dance troupe rehearsed in the
morning for our performance in the showcase in the evening. The few hours in
between the two events were occupied with lunch (onion and cheese omelet), fixing the necklace
that was rigged on Saturday and lost a piece in practice this morning,
repacking the dance bag with the costumes and accessories for the duet and the troupe
dances, touching up the makeup done before the rehearsal, packing snacks, water
and the ice packs for my shoulder, and then it was 3:30 and the carpool driver
was in the driveway and it was time to leave.

Seven drummers drumming before the dancing. |
The showcase was another great one. A drumming group played before the show and at intermission, and two of the dancers performed to live drumming. There was a wide variety
in the dance styles and the costumes, as usual, were beautiful. It was fun
knowing some of the dancers from other local groups, recognizing dancers from
previous events, and chatting with dancers from elsewhere. Two dancers drove
for four hours from upstate New York to perform. That is a big commitment. I
get fussy driving for one hour.
My friends and I are already plotting choreography and
costumes and looking forward to the next showcase. Let the fun continue.
